Our Paddling Program
The mission of the Junior & Manini racing program is to provide a well balanced, competitive sports and cultural program that will teach, develop and nurture the youth of Kihei Canoe Club.
The Juniors & Maninis will learn proper paddling technique, physical fitness and water safety. The season runs from the months of April through August. In addition of the Regatta Season, Kihei CC also encourages the older divisions to participate in Pre and Post Season Long Distance races.
All paddlers compete in the Maui County Hawaiian Canoe Association's (
MCHCA) weekly regattas every Saturday morning in June and July. The top paddlers then compete at the Hawaii Canoe Racing Association's (
HCRA) State Regatta in August.
