Eddie Fischer Memorial Celebration

Kihei Canoe Club's Halau Maui Nui O Kama will be celebrating the life of Eddie Fischer on Friday, May 29, 2026 at 8:30am. If you would like to join us in honoring Eddie, please be at the club NO LATER THAN 8:15am and bring a beach chair.
After a ceremony on the beach, the family canoe will paddle out a short distance from shore to release his ashes and loose flowers. Please coordinate with other members/guests to secure a spot in a canoe. You will need to bring your own paddle and PFD (personal flotation device) in order to paddle out. Guests who are not KCC members are required to sign a waiver before paddling in a KCC canoe and will also be required to have their own paddle and PFD.
Please bring loose flowers/petals to spread during the ceremony. After the paddle, everyone is welcome to stay and share their favorite memories and stories about Eddie.
