Membership
Checklist
Adult Division (18
and over)
Mahalo for inquiring about
membership in Kihei Canoe Club. The following checklist will help
simplify the paperwork needed for membership in the club and satisfy
the requirements of the Maui County and Hawaii State Canoe Racing
Associations and our insurance company. If you are an Ohana, please
fill out a packet for each member of your family. All the items listed
below are needed to allow your child's inclusion on the club roster so that they are eligible to race in sanctioned events.
ALL PADDLERS MUST COMPLETE ITEMS #1 THROUGH #6.
1. Fill out a Na Opio Application Form.
2. Fill out and sign a club Liability Release and Waiver Form.
3. Fill out and sign an HCRA Minor Waiver Form each year.
4. Provide a xerox of your child’s birth certificate or other document to verify age.
5. Pay dues. KCC Na Opio Program Membership Fees are $30 per child per year*. For two or more children, the membership fee is $50. The Ohana (parent(s) with child(ren)) Membership Fee is $175. Payable to Kihei Canoe Club. Dues must be paid to the KCC Treasurer or mailed
to the address at the bottom of this page.
6. If your child was a member of another canoe club in the past, have him/her sign an MCHCA Transfer Form.
Please make sure all completed paperwork is turned over to the Membership Committee so your keiki can be put on the race roster. During regatta season, paperwork should be received by Monday if your keiki expects to race on Saturday. Mahalo for your patience and assistance.
*Membership Fee: No youth will be denied a KCC membership due to inability to pay the membership fee. Work and
scholarship programs are available to all youths. Please see or call Kaleo for details (250-8641).
